The Easy Guide to Planning a Trip to Disney World in 2023 - Next Stop WDW (2023)

Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is different than planning a normal vacation. It's even more exciting because you travel to the most amazing places on earth. You'll make some great memories you'll never forget. There are quite a few steps to planning a Disney vacation, and that's what I'm here to help you through with my easy guide to Disney World travel planning. I've done this many times and I'm here to help you plan your next WalterDisney World vacations2023.

Planning a trip to Disney World in 2023

This Disney World Planning Guide provides an overview of planning a Walt Disney World vacation. It's really not that bad when you're donefirst, you will be prepared for more, believe me, Disney World can captivate you and make you want to come back again and again. OK, let's get started.

1. When do you want to go on vacation to Disney World in 2023?

Disney World is a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world, so when is the best time of year to plan a Disney vacation?

• Mid-January to mid-February (traditionally quieter period)
• The beginning of May (first two weeks) - before spring break and high season.
• The end of August (American schools start the new school year).
• September (the whole month).
• Mid-November to mid-December (stay away Thanksgiving weekend though).Really increased the size of the crowd.

These are our recommendations for smaller crowds, but please note that these may not coincide with some school holidays. In addition, Disney has been rolling out new events and promotions to increase visitor numbers, and they seem to be succeeding in doing so. Don't worry if you can't fit into any of these time frames below, we still have plenty of strategies to help you make the most of your travels in 2023.

2. How long will you be at Disney World in 2023?

Based on our personal experience as families who love Disney World, we recommend a 10-14 day stay. There is so much to see and do that you can't see and do everything yourself in two weeks, and you could easily be there for a month and still miss something.

Walt Disney World Resort is huge, with hundreds of different experiences across all parks and resorts, but in as little as two weeks you can do all the essentials and a bunch of other cool stuff.

3. Where will Disney World live in 2023?

Honestly, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. When you do, you really experience the full effect of the Disney bubbles. We may lose the Wonder Express in 2022 (which is a nice perk), but you'll still get the full Disney World experience, with mouse keepers keeping your room tidy and Disney cast members wherever you go looking after and entertaining you you.

Hoping that meal plans will return in 2024, you can currently book restaurants for 60 daysbefore you arrive.

The resort is divided intovalue, Medium and Luxury Resorts, with the benefits of staying in Medium and Luxury Resorts. of courseFar from hotels, but for the full experience we have always preferred to stay at the Disney World Resort(usually medium, sometimes deluxe if there's a good deal).

By staying at Disney, you get the full Disney experience, and if you really want to, you can go tovisit orlando, shopping or visiting amusement parks.

4. Plan transportation to Disney World

The Magic Express service has been discontinuedJanuary 1, 2022, so you must plan to travel from Orlando Airport (MCO) to Disney World.

If you are not at the hotel, you can take the bus,monorailand boats etc but you have to pay for park parking and now you have to pay for resort parking too. Again, we tend to take advantage of the provided transportation because it allows you to travel anywhere easily.

5. Plan Your Disney World Vacation in 2023 - Find the Best Deals

Once you know exactly which package you want, you can shop around to find the best deal. This changes all the time, but your options are:

• Get a quote directly from Disney (for flights they can sometimes be the cheapest option).
• Use a travel agency.
• Find out how much it will cost you to book flights and vacation packages separately on your own (an option that will probably take up most of your time).
• Don't forget theme park tickets.Throughout the year, Disney offers 14-day theme park tickets for the price of a 7-day ticket.

6. Book a trip to Walt Disney World in 2023

Once you've found the best price, pay your deposit and start saving.

You may want to consider documents to organize your holiday:

• latest passport
• travel insurance
• ESTA visits the USA If you are visiting from outside the US

Don't forget the date when the holiday balance is paid out too. Usually around 12 weeks until the holiday starts.

You must register for an account on the main Disney World website before you can log into this application. You can link your reservation and you will see your estimated arrival time.

The app is very useful when you are on vacation. It shows the waiting time for the trip and you can use it to bookDisney Elf+And a reservation for Lightning Lane. 8. Dining budget at Walt Disney World

One of the biggest costs (if not the biggest) during a trip to Walt Disney World is food and drink. With the Disney Dining program still on hold, it's critical to plan your Disney World dining budget accurately.

9. Research restaurants at Walt Disney World

Before you hit your 60-day deadline, start researching which restaurants you want to eat at. Some have characters that come to watch you while you eat, and some have meal packages that can reserve seats for youcertain programsDepends on which park you are in.

Do some serious research on this, but also think about how you might want to spend your vacation. Sometimes you may want to order breakfast at the resort or earlier in the park. Another day you might want to order lunch, like at Animal Kingdom, where you can book the evening river light show. Don't worry, I will cover this topic in more detail in the near future.

10. Plan your trip / the day before your trip

Now, if you are traveling far away from or outside of the US, you may want to consider yoursTravel day/day before travel. The day before your departure, it may be easier for you to arrive at the airport the afternoon before and park your car at the car park of your choice, then check into a hotel for the night.

This removes any traffic problems and the stress they can cause for the day.

You can usually check in at your hotel around 16.00 and go out for dinner, which is a nice and relaxing way to start your holiday. Then the next morning you just have to worry about getting through security.

11. Book these restaurants now

You must order table service immediately after 60 days. You need to do this because everyone else will do the same after 60 days, especially with super popular pre-orders like the Cinderella Royal Table. You must have the reservation you want by this date.

Don't miss out as you may be hard pressed to get some of the dining experiences you really want! You can do this on a website, an app, and if you want, on your phone. We did this once because we had internet problems.

12. Final preparations for a trip to Walt Disney World

30 days before a Disney World vacation

• Check the park's opening hours during your holiday.
• Print out a packing list and check your closet for what you need.

• Buy all necessary clothing, toiletries and travel items.
• Start packing.
• No mail or newspapers will be accepted during the holidays.

1 week before Disney World vacation

• Confirm the reservation.
• Refill any prescription medications for your vacation.
• Check your packing list.

the day before a Disney World vacation

• Check with your airline.
• Complete your Disney Resort online check-in.
• Carry out all packing and weigh the luggage.
• Charge any gadget.
• Have all travel documents ready.

On your way out - you're on your way to Disney World!

• Unplug and switch off the appliance.
• Empty the trashcan.
• Configure any security system.
