Section 4
How many of you know people who hate studying but enjoy doing crossword puzzles or playing computer games that challenge their brains and reflexes? Many of you, I'm sure. Well, one of the goals is to learn to enjoy learning as much as we enjoy these crossword puzzles and computer games. Okay, we'll come back to that later. Now I want to go over some basics. First, regular exercise. Countless studies show that regular physical exercise, say 40 minutes or so, five days a week, jogging, brisk walking, strength training,
Tennis, whatever you enjoy, puts you in a more positive frame of mind and also boosts creativity and memory for hours after your workout. Other important things are to eat good healthy food, get enough sleep and try not to spend too much time and money in the student bar. There is nothing worse than trying to learn something or solve a problem than having a hangover. Thus, as the Romans said: men sana in corpore sano, a healthy mind in a healthy body. On the right. Now let's all stay fit and healthy. What about studying? First you need to calculate the times you will use to study. When I say study, I mean all the school work. Write essays, read, etc. What do you do outside of class? Be realistic, don't plan on putting in 60 hours a week. It is too much for most of us. Set aside one or two blocks of, say, two or two and a half hours a day, that's your study time.
Like I said, be realistic. Don't set yourself such an ambitious goal that you'll never reach it. And it's also a good idea to set aside one day a week, maybe Sunday, to relax and do some homework when things get a little tough. That's the time, ready. Now to the place. We are creatures of habit. We do things best when we do them in places we associate with the job at hand, in this case studying. So it is best to try to reserve a quiet place for yourself. Maybe your bedroom, a study if you have one where you study. If the weather is good, they could be our doors. There is nothing better than reading and reflecting on that novel, which one must read on a quiet grassy bank by a stream on a sunny day to read English literature.
And let's not forget the library. Most of us find studying in the midst of centuries of learning inspiring, like studying is all there is in a library. Ok time place next? are questions. Before reading anything, always ask yourself:

Part 1
WOMAN: About a ten minute walk away is the Dean End Health Center and there's another clinic in South Hay. It is about five minutes to the center of the city. We are registered at Dean End One but both are fine. About six doctors work in our practice and four in the other. So ours is pretty big by comparison. And the building and everything is a bit more modern. South Hay is a bit dated but the doctors are fine. Their only problem is that they don't have a proper dating system. Sometimes you have to wait forever there to see someone. Anyway, you go to the reception of some health center and ask to be registered with a doctor there. You have to fill out a form, but it doesn't take long. Ours is called Dr. Jones and we've been going to him for years, ever since we moved here fifteen years ago. I wouldn't say it's brilliant, but I think it's really good. We have already gotten used to it. They say that he is very good with the elderly, but he tends to get a little impatient with children. Look, the one who's really good with little kids is Dr. Shaw. I've heard a lot of people say that. He is young and has young children of his own. So you could try registering with her. And if his list is full, I heard someone say the other day that there's a very nice young doctor in South Hay, Dr. Williams. He runs special clinics for people with back problems. But that's not really your problem, is it?
