How is Thrive pet food different?
At Thrive, we believe that you and your pets are what you eat. So we've used over 30 years of experience producing great food for humans to create a revolutionary "real" pet food from simple, easily recognizable ingredients. We stick to human grade meat or fish with no substitutes and absolutely no "animal products". Our food is completely pure and free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, added sugar, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy and GMOs (you can see it's what we leave out that makes us unique!).
We also leverage innovative manufacturing processes in the human food industry to create breakthrough products, such as our freeze-dried foods, that are natural, healthy and full of flavor. Open a tube of Thrive and you'll see exactly what you're feeding your pet: pure goodness, no bullshit.
What does "whole" food mean?
The word "complete" guarantees that our pet food contains all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients required for a balanced diet that meets the guidelines recommended by the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF).
What does veterinary approval mean?
Thirch products have been recommended and sold by over 1,000 veterinarians since 2003. We develop each formula with a team of professional nutritionists.
What is so special about the ingredients you use?
We use human grade ingredients - not questionable! For example, our friendly and gentle small dog breeds include the same ingredients in salads, soups and sandwiches that you have probably eaten yourself.
Does your dog food contain wheat?
Unwanted ingredients in some pet foods lead to grain and gluten allergies in many dogs. For these reasons, all Thrive dog foods are grain and grain free. When necessary, we use small amounts of simple carbohydrates such as potatoes, sweet potatoes or rice, which are easier to digest and less allergenic.
What is the salinity in that range?
We do not add salt or sugar to our food.
Why freeze dry your treats?
If you've ever tasted freeze-dried strawberries in your breakfast cereal, you know how appetizing they look and how impressive they taste. We use the same technology to create a range of healthy freeze-dried treats for your pet.
This extremely gentle drying method combines low and low pressure for up to 24 hours, meaning the finished product will have little change in size or colour, but will be much lighter. The natural taste is enhanced and the nutrients including vitamins are not compromised.
Since dogs' taste buds are much more sensitive than ours, you can understand why the taste of Thrive treats really grabs their attention!
What safeguards do we follow in terms of animal welfare?
We care about every single ingredient in Thrive products, which is why our ingredient list is so short! Therefore, we maintain the highest welfare standards in the care of all farm animals.
Our products are either manufactured in accordance with current UK and EU animal welfare legislation or, where relevant, within the parameters of internationally recognized animal welfare organisations, such as Red Tractor and Friend of the Sea. Our fish products come from sustainable sources. We also have an ethical certification from the ethical business organization.
What is our animal testing policy?
We don't believe in testing our products on caged animals, nor do we do invasive testing because our pet food contains only pure ingredients.
All new Thrive foods are tasted by Thrive's human owners before we offer them to our pets and friends' pets to see if they like it. We see no value in testing pet food on animals that are not kept exclusively as pets in a loving environment.
For your peace of mind, our pet foods are also tested by a number of independent external laboratories and authorities to ensure they meet recommended nutritional guidelines.
How much should I feed my dog?
It's best to refer to our feeding guide on how much to feed your dog, but as a simple rule of thumb, if you can feel their ribs but not see them, they're the right weight.
All creatures are individuals, if your pet gains a little weight, reduce the amount of feeding and increase its exercise level. If your dog is losing weight for no apparent reason, be sure to take him to the vet for a checkup.

How should I change my dog's food? Is it a one-off or gradual?
Dogs are very adaptable and able to eat a varied diet.
However, most dogs are generally fed the same food every day, and significant dietary changes can cause your dog to have some loose movements.
With this in mind, it is wise to gradually change your dog to a "blooming" food over the course of a few days.
Should I add water?
We've talked to thousands of pet owners over the years about the best way to feed their pets, and all we can say is that opinions vary widely.
There are no clear directions, and there is no harm in adding water if you want; but rest assured, you can feed your dog our complete product as it is, without adding anything else, but of course, as you know, always give fresh water.
My pet requires a hypoallergenic diet. Is Prosperity Suitable?
Anaphylaxis is primarily a reaction to allergens such as gluten and specific proteins. Thrive food contains no wheat, dairy, soy or GMO ingredients. Most of our foods contain a single type of protein, but sometimes they contain proteins from similar species, such as salmon and tuna, or chicken and turkey. This way you can clearly see if there is something in our food that your pet is allergic to; we don't hide our ingredients with terms like "meat or animal products." As a result, Thrive Foods is a popular exclusion diet for veterinarians when trying to determine which proteins a pet is allergic to.
What is a comfort collar?
Recommended by many vets, comfort collars are a pet-friendly way to keep your dog from biting, scratching and licking wounds, cuts or other injured areas. Unlike traditional lampshade collars, the comfort collar allows your pet to sleep and eat in a normal position and allows them to see normally, making them feel more comfortable. Available in 5 sizes, fully washable and folds flat for storage when not in use.
Can I feed my puppy food to thrive?
Thrive Kind & Gentle Treats are perfect for puppies. We are expanding our product range to include more puppy food soon.
When should I go from "puppy" to "adult"?
There are no fixed rules, we think it depends on the breed. Although small breeds live twice as long as large breeds, large breeds actually take longer to reach adult weight. Therefore, contact your breeder and/or veterinarian for guidance.
Can I use your products to train my dog?
Absolut!
That's where we started our business, making delicious, 100% natural snacks for training. Veterinarians then began using the products in the most stressful situation for dogs - the consultation room - and the results were amazing. So you can use our specially designed snacks for training.

Leading supermarkets, vets, pet shops, internet retailers and our websitewww.thrivepetfoods.com
I have another question; how can i get you to answer that?

What's in your dog food?
Our dogs are full of offal such as livers, kidneys and hearts. These parts are often sent to landfill because we humans don't eat enough, and pet brands don't use them because they're so expensive to dispose of because they all have to be tested. We use them because they are the most nutritious part of the animal and can be used to feed the animal. Dogs in the wild will eat these parts first.
